Diamond Setting Guide From Fascinating Diamonds

Diamond rings are created keeping lots of parameters in mind, as a diamond consumer we tend to concentrate more on design then its nuances, however if we pay little attention on how these beautiful rings are crafted and what is the defining characteristic of each ring then it will be more fun choosing perfect diamond engagement ring. Diamond is calibrated using four criteria namely various styles of Cuts- which defines the facets of the stone, Color – which stats the purity of the diamond, Clarity- it is the measure of flawlessness, and
Carat – It defines the measurement of size. Ever time a diamond ring is designed these factors are kept in mind, another very import part of design is Diamond setting inside the ring frame, as its name suggest Setting is nothing but different diamond placement styles. There are number of setting styles which gives every ring a unique beauty.

Channel Setting is most commonly used setting which goes well with all diamond cuts like Asscher, Oval, emerald, princess or cushion however round cut is most complimenting and favorite in all. As its name suggests it’s an array of diamond implanted between two lines of ring. The rally of diamonds is infused inside the ring omitting any possibility of metal in between. This setting is used to enhance the overall look and feel of the ring, usually this setting is mixed with other setting to create new designs like single or three diamonds can be set using prong setting and ring band can be studded with diamond using channel setting.

Prong Setting presents the diamonds very artistically. The twinkling diamond is delicately held by metal wires or hands just reaching below the brim, it gives an opportunity to diamond to showcase itself. Though it a traditional setting yet it is widely used as it looks fabulous and makes the diamond look larger.

Tension Setting exhibits diamond’s beauty by just holding it using metal’s tensile strength. Metal only supports the position of the diamond else diamond is free hanging in air; you can appreciate its cuts from top to bottom.

Bezel Setting protects diamond by giving it a surrounding collar of metal. The diamond is well set inside the arch keeping only its cut visible. The eye of diamond looks amazing in this setting; you can choose round or princess cut for this setting however other cuts also compliment it.

Flush Setting completely implants the diamond inside the metal band and only diamond surface is visible. It gives an impression that diamond has been an indispensable part of the metal band and they never been separated before. This is just perfect for wedding bands.

Pave Setting is a very beautiful setting making an impression of diamond grooves. Diamonds in this setting shines more as their corners get embellished by platinum or gold to create more shimmering effect. Small Diamonds are closely set in smaller prongs to showcase a cluster of diamonds. Ballerina and Bar are also very famous setting which gives new definition to diamond rings.
